On April 12, fourteen of us will run 26.2 miles through the city to fund emergency housing for families with newborns in intensive care. Every dollar covers one more night someone doesn't spend in a hospital parking lot.
Rowan House gives families a free place to stay when their newborn is admitted to intensive care — sometimes for a night, sometimes for months. Without it, many drive hours each way or sleep in waiting rooms just to stay close.
Last year we housed 96 families. This year, with your sponsorship, our team is running the full marathon distance to keep every room open and add two more.
We've mapped the fundraising goal onto the race route itself. Each marker is a mile — and a milestone we've hit or are chasing on race day.
Reached $10,000 — funded three months of housing outright.
A local pediatric group matched every gift for 48 hours.
$34,150 raised. Every mile from here funds a new family.
$50,000 opens two additional rooms for the coming year.
